LymphAday 2021 - the final report!

March, world lymphedema awareness month, is coming to a close.

We proudly look back on March 6, D-day for the lymphedema awareness campaign. The third edition of our "LymphAday" was a great success, with over 170 webinar attendees. This large number proves that continued attention for this chronic incurable condition remains very important.

Prof. Nele Devoogdt (UZ Leuven) spoke extensively about the latest insights and useful tips regarding the development, evaluation and conservative treatment of lymphedema.

Prof. Koenraad Van Landuyt (UZ Gent) explained all  surgical options for the treatment of lymphedema in great detail.

We concluded our program with a fantastic scoop: the results of the keto-lymph study. Doctor Sarah Thomis (UZ Leuven) explained this study and entered into a dialogue with her patient Rieky van Elk. Rieky talked about her experience with this diet and the impact on her lymphedema.

We received a ton of positive responses. You can read a quick  snapshot of some feedback attached.

At BABC we continue to draw attention to this condition, which is why we regularly organize webinars on lymphedema. So keep an eye on our website and social media regularly!
